In the Premier Section Roger Goodall with fifteen dolls (5-6-4) starred for The Six Bells C’ Kidlington but it was not enough to prevent them going down 2-1 at home to Garsington Sports Club ‘A’. The Sports men won the first leg 30-28, but Six Bells levelled in the next leg 23-18 before Garsington won the final and deciding leg 27-23.
In Section 3 Kevin Stuart hit a steady 5-5-5 for Rose Hill Club ‘A’ but they still went down to Vikings Sports ‘A’ 2-1. Rose Hill easily won the first leg 26-18 but crashed in the next leg 16-20. Rose Hill set the final leg with 19 which was not enough as Vikings went past it with 22.

In Section 4 Garsington Sports ‘B’ anchor man Len Wing grabbed them a point in their clash against The Six Bells ‘A’ Kidlington. Trailing 2-0 they were set 17 in the final leg and it looked enough to give Six Bells maximum points as Wing was left needing four to win. This did not faze him as he went on to clang off five dolls with his first five sticks to give Garsington a well deserved point.
Vikings Sports ‘C’ scored more dolls than Donnington Club ‘C’ but they still lost 2-1 in Section 5. They won the opening leg 16-9 but lost the next two 13-12, 14-10.

Neil Brock for The Red Lion hit a dozen dolls 5-3-4.
Red Lion ‘B’ Cassington thought it was not going to be their night after they were demolished in the opening leg 8-17 by Brill Social Club ‘A’ in Section 8. However they fought their way back to level in the next leg 10-9 and then went on to claim victory in the final leg 14-10.
